Is there a way to get liscense key info?

I have microsoft works 2000. The liscense key sticker has deteriorated to the point i can not read the entire key only the last half.. is there a way to contact microsoft to get the entire key? i fdisked my computer and when i went to reinstall works i discovered my key wasnt legible anymore. When i Fdisked it it removed the previously saved license key. I use it on my other computer, a gateway 433 celeron with 4 gig hard drive and 64 ram. lol needless to say its not much good for anything other than using the works program.
