How do you transfer whats on hard drive to new hard drive?
Plug in new drive to motherboard then what? Please give me your wisdom.

Welcome to PCMech. If you're just wanting to back up data, then plugging the new HDD in to the proper ribbon cable, formatting it, and then dragging said data to the new drive is all you need to do.
If you're wanting to transfer everything, such as your OS, then there are programs that will help you make the transfer of data and settings properly.

If your motheboard has RAID controller you can plug both of your drives into that, and mirror your primary drive to your new secondary drive.
