Its not the P2P programe that is legal or illegal its what you do with them, downloading music that has a copyright and not paying for it is illegal which ever P2P programe you use.

Sure the programs themselves are legal, but what's floating around on them? Music, movies, pr0n, warez... Everything that has a copyright, not to mention chock full of trojans. You can trade shareware and free music (garage band stuff) legally, but you can get that stuff for free on the web anyway.

Another option is WMP10, it has a few built in music services that are pretty good.

Yeah iMesh, Kazza, etc. are a great way to get spyware/adware added to your computer. I reccomend against P2P programs :P

PS. This topic should be in the 'general software' forum.

Piracy is against forum rules would be the main reason, but yeah, it would be foolish to admit to pirating in a public forum, no? If slashdot will pull down posts and give out IP's to the authorities, any site will.

If you would like to share some "garage band stuff" then definatly go with limewire. Any type of "garage rock" you need. It also comes with no adware or spyware.

gmanz73, please take the time to read the forum rules. You've been here long enough to hear about them.

Workarounds which comprimise security, bypass password protection, or otherwise go to gain unauthorized access to private data or information is prohibitied. Links provided to locations that offer tutorials or tips for any of these activities are also forbidden.
