Is this possible?
Ok at home i have an older pc that has enough specs to run XP on it ( i don't remember the exact specs it's been a while since i used the computer but i know that they ar enough). When we first bought the computer it had 95 on it then we upgraded to 98 and install some memory and such in it. I know that you can't go from 95 to XP you have to use 98 as a buffer, but as long as the computer has enough specs i should be able to wipe the current OS off and just go right to XP, no? Just curious before i go and try this but from what i read i beleive it will work.

Boot to the XP cd, select new installation and when if sees the partition(s) delete the partition first. Then create a new partition, format it to NTFS and proceed with the install. You will loose all data on the hard drive, however.

If you plan on taking the A+ you might want to consider leaving 98 on there. You probably have access to anothrer XP PC, and you will need to know 98 and DOS to pass the A+. Even if you are going to upgrade take some time while you have 98 on there to brush up on DOS memory management etc...
