Problem with Windows Media Player

For some reason I can't run in full screen mode. Every time I try.. it just switches back to windowed mode automatically. Can someone help me with this problem?

try this:
1. On the Windows Media Player Tools menu, press Options.
2. Select the Performance tab.
3. Press the Advanced button.
4. Select the Enable full-screen mode switch and press OK.

Hmm didn't work

That didn't work, and in fact when I try to put it into full screen, it stops, goes back to regular, then an error occurs and it quits.

I have tried re-downloading media player, and that doesn't work. I don't know what the problem is.

Error

The error is simply the one that says

"the program you have used has encountered an error and needs to close"

That stuff that you get often with windows. Well I don't know specifically what it is but it's just not working!
