I've used Magic Jellybean's keyfinder successfully to retrieve an Office 2000 product key several times. Is it not running at all or is there no tab for the Office key?

The Jellybean keyfinder will not retrieve Office 2000's key, as was experiences by SCRYED. It is explained here on the FAQ: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/kf-faq.shtml

I stand corrected. Keyfinder doesn't work on Office 2000. It does on Office 97 and Office XP. My apologies.

Are you sure? If the jellybean author can't figure out how to find it, you think Belarc can?

I had to install Office 2000 Small Business for a customer today, and they had lost their product key. I called Microsoft Customer Care, read them everything on the CD, and they gave me a new product key over the phone. It was quick (less than 15 minutes, no hold time) and painless.

More info is here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;823570
