WinRar question
If I have a 100 minute movie packed into 100 rar files and I just want the last 10% of the movie do I just need the last 10 files or do I need all of the rar (0-100) files? That's what I did and I tried to extract file 90 and winrar refuses to budge and tells me it needs the previous volume (r00) to continue.
Is data packed sequentially in winrar files (i.e. first part of data goes into r00, r01, etc. and last part of data packed into r100, r101, etc.) or is the file data spread out over all rar files? |

Yep. Apparently winrar is trying to protect you from yourself
Meaning that file 90 is useless without the previous files...

Yes, you need all the rar files to open the entire archive.
I can't seem to find where it says what kind of compression method it uses, though.
