Any Access Guru's out there??
HI All,
Im having an issue within Access...if there is anyone out there that battles with this Mircrosoft Program...I have a small issue: I am running a report and I have two fields within the report that contain text...now I set this two fields to "can grow"...but now the text within the two fields will not wrap? So everythign is either getting cut off or running off the page? Any ideas help? I know this might be a long shot but TIA Gigabella |

The CanGrow attribute allows the control to expand vertically, so that shouldn't affect text wrapping at all. Is this something like a memo field with normal text, or something else?

I would assume that it is normal text...but its not a memo field. on the report its showing as an embedded scroll bar with a viewable sub report when I right click the scroll bar it gives me the option ot view the sub report in a separate window.
Access....its like a giant puzzle to me LOL. |

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that version. Is this a text box or a subreport that contains a text box? From your description it sounds like it is a subreport.

I don't believe a text box in a report will wrap; it just expands horizontally- however, as doctorgonzo alluded to- text in a memo box will wrap. You change the text box to a memo box in the table/edit view- however, you are also saying you have a subreport? I'm not clear on how the form was set up.

Yes the report is pulling information into this field from a sub report...the sub report is pulling the field from a query. the field looks like it wraps some words to the next line but not all of them...they are just runninginto the next field the only way to view the whole string of words is to expanded the horizontal bar thats in the main report thus taking away room from the surrounding fields.
