Noise removal software
I have a recording which has that irritating loose earth buzz on it. I've tried notch filters but they seem to make no difference. Does anyone know of any software in which I can use the isolated buzz before the music starts, and subtract that buzz from the musical sections, by inverting the noise, sampling it whatever?

I remember somewhere in Goldwave there was an option to use a file as a "buzz" sample for noise removal. But I can no longer find the correction option in the pull down menus. Can anyone help me with my forgetfulness? Was it actually another piece of software?

I've remembered. It comes up with an option "use clipboard", but rather unhelpfully, only when there'ssomething IN the clipboard.
