Another restoring software
I just wanted to let you all know that I am VERY pleased with Acronis True Image 8.0
backup (Disaster Recovery [DR]) product. I installed it on my Win XP Pro box. I used it to backup my hard drive to an external (USB 2.0) drive. Then I purchased another drive to put into another external box. Before I placed it into the new external box, I decided to use the drive to simulate a true DR test. After booting from the recovery CD, I restored the data saved on my first external drive box to the drive which was installed as a partially formatted FAT32 drive as an internal drive. I am very happy that the recovery went very well. I had about 40 GIG on the drive when I backed it up. It took a little under two hours to back it up. It took about two hours to recover the drive. I rate the test recovery 100% sucessfull! Nice Job! |
