My Music Jukebox tunes back to Windows Media?

It converted all my tunes to that format and I would like to change it back.

Thanks

It might be easier for some of us who don't know what format it is in(I don't know what format, .MP3, .WAV, .RA, etc?) if you told us what file type/format they are now, and what you want them to be. If you don't know, then I guess that might be a hard question to answer though, in which case you will have to wait for someone else.

As a note: Multiple conversions could jeapordize the quality of te music, so it is best to do the least number of re-encoding's possible. Why do you want to convert back?

I'm having problems with my MP3 player (NEXII Compact Flash). I can load songs onto the CF Card, and they will play on my PC. However, when I put the CF card in the MP3 player, it just freezes up, and I have to pull the batteries to reset it.

Now I never had this problem before when everything was Windows Media MP3. I started having the problem after all my music was converted to Music JukeBox. Maybe the the problem is not related to Music Jukebox, however I am trying to rule that out by returning the tunes to the Windows Media format.

I have tried reformatting the CF card, scanning it for viruses or corrupted files and even putting new AAs in the player. Still no luck.

Maybe it's the MP3 player. All the tunes work on my Ipaq5555 Media Player. Maybe it's time to get an iPod Mini.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

As far as I can tell the MP3 player should be able to play any format that Music Match might encode too, except maybe "mp3PRO." YOu could try and right click, or perhaps under some tools menu, and re-encode(possibly by the name of convert to... or something similar) a single file to plain MP3 or to WMA in Musicmatch JukeBox. And then try that file in your MP3 player.

Honestly I am not sure what could be wrong with it. Are you adding the songs to the player in the same fashion you did before?(I think it's drag and drop for your player? not sure though) When you converted your music to Musicmatch, did you convert the whole Library? Sometimes when a program re-encodes music it will create a new file, and keep your old one intact and in its original place(although when I have seen that it was on a standalone file converter). Might be worth checking where your songs used to be, as maybe they are infact still there and in the Original MP3, non Jukebox-erized. That is a slim chance.

Sorry I can't be of any real help, hope you figure it out.

I think I figured out the problem.

I swapped my Lexar 512MB CF Card for the one I use in my camera, and the MP3 player is working for now. So I am of the opinion that it's the Lexar 512MB card. The interesting thing is that while the Lexar card will not work properly in the MP3 player, it seems to work fine in the Canon camera. Looks like it's time to get a new CF card. Maybe I'll spring for a new 1GB or 2GB card.

What is the lifetime expectancy of a CF Card?
If this keeps up I may just get an iPod.

Do you need Music Match?

I have always found it to be a big pain... You could try uninstalling to see if that fixes your problem.

That's what I did. I uninstalled Music Match. Then I discovered that the problem was my MP3 Player. So I bought an iPod.

Problem solved....for now.

Anyway I didnt see no one answering the question. If you install a new program and it changes the default player and you want Media Player to be your default player you go in media player under tools tab - options - file types and just check the formats that you want media player to play. You select all then your default player is media player.
