desktop icons in xp will not open
My desktop icons and control panel will not open when i click on them. When i click on them they will blink then disappear ,then re-appear, but the link will not open or the control panel, my computer etc. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance

First thing I would try is to go back to a restore point before this happened. See if that helps and let us know.
