Transparent OEM Logo

Can anybody tell me how to create a transparent OEMLOGO. I think you need a bitmap file for this which do not support transparency. So I made .GIF image in Photoshop and then converted it into .bmp. But problem is that whenever I store .GIF image with transparent background, things become very unclear. So which is good software to create .GIF image with transparent background without sacrificing the quality of the image??

When I make gif's and view them in XP with its picture viewer, the image gets blurry and bad, even though it really isn't, its just the viewer. Just making sure you weren't making the same mistake as me. GL

I am not really a graphics guy by any stretch of the imagination. I did make some transparent stuff for my site using .png files though. They might help you. Try making with .png then changing to bitmap.

Now if IE would just render transpartent png's like standards say they should, but I digress........
