Microsoft Onenote

I've been using MS Onenote for a few months now and I'm finding it to be an extrememly versatile and useful application. There are way too many things for me to mention, but I just love this app.

Why did I start this thread? I think that this program could make life simple for many other students out there and possibly professionals as well. It doesn't hurt to take a look. Here is a good place to take a look at MS ONENOTE and DL a trial copy.

I toyed around with my friend's graphics tablet, using MS Office's language bar handwriting tool. I personally didn't like it much, but this feature may come in handy for some. Perhaps Onenote isn't as popular as it should be because people think it's solely for Tablet PCs. *Shrug* You get handwriting recognition automatically only with a Tablet, but it's other features shouldn't be shrugged off as secondary features. Here is a similar program, Evernote. I downloaded Evernote the same time I downloaded the Onenote trial, but it did not impress me. By the way, Onenote is $99 USD or $39-$43 for the Academic Price, Evernote is a free download.

So... whaddya thing?

I saw it demo'd at a MS seminar. For people that take notes I think it's great. For people with tablet pc's its even better.

I liked the part of being able to record a public speaker. One little touch and you could mark spots within the speach for playback.

Well, OneNote 2007 is out, and I'm going to go ahead and recommend that too. The above links are still valid.

(Holy old thread revival, but maybe a few disorganized folk or students will find this software to be useful.)
