When I rip my CDs to MP3, sometimes the artist/song names aren't detected properly also. I just use Windows Media Player (V.10) to connect to the web and update the song names, titles, artists etc... with the correct information. I have done it several times and never had an issue, it's actually pretty acurate. You just do a search for the album (by title, artist, etc...) and find the match. They it updates the file names and all the info for you.
I have never done it with partial albums though, only full CDs that I've converted to MP3. I don't know if it works for mixed tracks, but can't hurt to give it a try. Hope this helps, Stryker
