Question about Memtest
I ran this program to test the memory I had in my computer. I ran the test and they cam it came up with about 600-700 errors on the memory over a period of 90 minutes. But what really confuses me is that the literature says that just because the test produces errors for your memory. It doesn't mean that the memory is necessarily faulty. So what does warrant a faulty memory? What's the point of the test in the first place?
Also is there a program available for testing a CPU? |

If your machine if running fine then I wouldn't worry about what mem test says. If your machine is getting alot of errors, I'd try replacing the ram.

If you are getting that many errors, I'd bet the ram is bad. CPU's hardly ever go partially bad - it works or it doesn't.
