This is what happens
While making a few online purchases from a company down south (miami) they talked me into buying eTrust pest patrol and eTrust Antivirus both were $59.00. When you install these they remove your current virus protection. It seems like they work at the start but started to have problems about the 3rd day. I would not recomend these to anyone. What a waste of my money. Reinstalled Norton 2005

Yes I hate it when that happens lol. There are several good free anti-virus programs you could try. I dont believe ive ever heard of eTrust.

eTrust is made by Computer Associates. It is easily as good as Norton IMO. Pest Patrol is a good antispyware solution if you are willing to pay for one as well. That said I would still use the AVG free edition and the free antispyware apps, why pay for an anti-virus/malware solution when the best are free?
EDIT: Check out this comparison on eTrust I just found: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/4540-36...4.html?tag=tab The highest I found eTrust AV on froogle was 50 bucks, but lots of places have it for $20. CA sells it for $24.95. Last edited by rightcoast; 05-04-2005 at 12:18 PM. |
