OE Blocked Sender List

Can anyone tell me why all of my blocked senders keep disappearing off of my list every time I shut down & re-boot? I had found, somewhere on the net, how to go to the registry & delete the entries for the list to get it back( it had disappeared for a while there). It worked but now I'm having trouble again. Also, does the fact that they are in the registry mean that they are still on the list but I just can't see them? Can this be fixed? I don't feel comfortable with having to go into the registry unless I absolutely have to. It's not real important, I'd just like to be able change the list from within the list in case I want to remove an entry.
