TMPGEnc Error
I have some movies on my computer. I had the regular avi.. then I decompressed that with AVI Audio Decompressor and then I would try to add the video file in TMPGEnc and it gave me an error saying the file could not be opened, or it is unsupported. However, I had some movies that would go without a problem.. Also.. the pcm file will add to the audio file place, but the video file won't load into the video file slot..
What could be wrong? |

Go to environmental settings>VFAPI plugins and give Directshow plugin high priority (2). You may also have VBR audio which TMPGEnc doesn't like. Check your file's streams using GSPOT to see what you have. You may have to re-encode audio to CBR using VDubmod. Go to videohelp.com they tons of guides to help out with TMPGEnc.

If tmpgenc can't open an avi, it's because you don't have the proper codec to decode the video stream (99% of the time).
Even if you THINK you have XviD, and Gspot reports that you have XviD, there are so many versions, and they're not all compatible. Download and install the latest version of whatever codec you need. First uninstall the old version completely. |

Well I did what rjc posted and it seemed to work. I went to enviromental settings, and raised the priority of DirectShow to 2, and then tryed to do one of the movies and it worked!
Thanks for the help. |
