Nero memory problem...please help!

Hello, I just started using Nero Express yesterday and noticed that my hard drive's memory started to decrease with each dvd burn. Now I'm only down to .9 GB on my hard drive! I looked for two hours to see what folder it was saving copies to, but no luck; I haven't found anything, not even something that tells me that it is saving to my hard drive. Can someone please please please help me figure this out? Thanks!!

You could search for all files on your system that were modified on a specific day (if you know the last day you did a DVD burn on). This may give you an idea if you see a bunch of mystery files in a nero folder or otherwise.

Just a suggestion, but someone may have a better solution for you.

... by the way... welcome to PC Mech!

Thanks Stryker. However, how would I go about searching my files for a specific day?

Sorry...
I'm basing this on Windows XP, so if you have a different OS, let me know.

Open "My computer" and double click your hard drive (assuming you only have one). Click the "Search" button in the top toolbar to open the search options.

Click on "all files and folders" and then select "advanced options". You can then specify a date range to search in.

Let me know if you need a hand.

ooops, little mistake.
You don't need to click Advanced Options, just select "When was it modified" (I'm sure you could probably figure that out, just wanted to clarify).

I'm betting it's putting hidden files in the temp somewhere. In your folder options, show hidden and system files and unhide extensions for known file types, and you will probably figure out what's going on.

Is this a single burner (meaning doyou have any other optical drives)?

Are you doing any copying from DVD to DVD? If you are, check whether "Delete Image file after disc copy" is enabled. If it is not, Nero is creating images of the discs you are copying and saving them to hard disk (the usual location will be in your My Documents folder).
