do i need .net framework?
my school offers a visualbasic.net course, and my friend made a program that he wanted me to test out, but it wont run. do i need .net framework? he said i dont and apparently (according to him) he knows everything about VB and such, but i think i need .net framework, even though i know nothing about this stuff im thinking i need it.
EDIT: either way--if the program doesnt work its his mistake, and if i need .net its his mistake...i win lol

Usually, right before the installation actually begins, it will tell you if the .net framework is needed if you do not have it installed.

Usually it is not distributed with a program since the .Net installation is about 30mb. You can get it off of Windows Update or by searching ".Net Framework" on Microsoft's site. Doesn't hurt to have it installed anyway.

From my experience, programs made in VB .NET don't work without the .NET Framework.
