Software for making Mixes
Hi all,
I'm looking for some software for creating dance mixes. I've got all the music already, I just need some software that will help me put it all into a continous mix. At the very least I would need something that beat matches at the end/beginning of songs. Is there such software out there that doesn't cost a fortune? Thanks in advance. |

For beat matching, Ableton Live is great - it can even match MIDI to digital audio and then slow/speed up both/either. A very fun tool.

Thanks Sonic. At $499 US that's something a ways out of my budget range. Are there any other cheaper tools that can do this sort of thing too? Thanks again.

Good ol' Fashion Widows Movie Maker. The only problem you might run into then is sacing as the type of file you want. But you could always Try it out

I hate to say it - but Ableton is the cheapest product I'm aware of that will do what you're looking for - timeslip/beat match digital audio without much effort. Don't know of anything else with those capabilities (other than ProTools H|D, Nuendo or Sonar Production Bundle).

Try Virtual DJ. You can record your remixes of songs. I just saw it in my friends laptop and its really good. You can add effects to it and do some disc scratching and add effects.

I know of a program called fruity loops. you can import sound files into it, and use its own sequencing software in combination with those tracks. I think the program sells for ~ $129. But I could be very mistaken.
