Microsoft Word...

Just wondering what the problem might be when Microsoft word won't except pastes. Example... If I'm in IE on any webpage and I copy a text, when I go to paste the text into Microsoft Word it freezes Word and becomes "Not Responding". Is there a fix for this, maybe it's a corrupt file or something? Let me know.

Is this something that just started recently?
What version of Word are you using ( 97, 2000, etc.) and what Micorsoft OS?
Are you using IE 6?

It could be that you are copying not only the text but also tables and other stuff from the website, in which case the system has to convert HTML into MS Word readable code.

Double check firewall settings - happened to me and firewall was blocking M$ Word access to 'net.

Instead of Paste, try Paste Special.
