Omega drivers don't necessarily improve performance. They provide you with additional tweaking options that allow you to do more with your video card than the stock Catalyst drivers. Omega often patches problems with the stock drivers before ATI does.
I'd suggest removing all the software/drivers you have relating to your video card from the Add/Remove Programs area. Then Remove the vid card in Device Manager and reboot. You can use the default Windows drivers until you can download the new drivers of your choice. One of the key instructions with the Omega drivers is to uninstall the ATI control panel BEFORE you install the Omega drives. |

Ya lost me. What's an "onboard mobo accelerator"? If it has anything to do with onboard video and you are using a separate video card (agp anyway) it will automatically disable the onboard.
Please tell me you're NOT trying to use the Omega drivers with onboard video! They are only to be used with a separate video card. Omega did have separate drivers for ATI/Radeon based vid cards and nForce cards. I think he has discontinued the nForce project and now only offers the Radeon drivers. |

nah im not... i got a PCI slot actually not AGP. Im just wondering if i need to unistall the onboard graphics on device manager to get the omega drivers to work? Or will the video card just overwrite it like u said?

I think the automatic disabling is only with AGP cards. If you are using a PCI card then you'll need to disable the onboard to keep them from fighting. Not only remove the onboard from Device Manager, disable it in the bios too. Otherwise it will try to reinstall when you reboot.

You can't physically disable the onboard - you can only disable it in device manager.
