AVG question,,
Hi all, long time since I've been here. I have a question about my AVG protection. Seems like every other time I connect to the web I have to update AVG. If this keeps going I'll run out of room on my laptop which only has a 20Gig hdd. Is that at all possible? Thanks.

You can delete all the old update files once the update is applied.

I've been working at it but can't figure out how to access the past updates much less delete them.

I don't have AVG here to check, but as I remember, there's an update folder in the AVG folder.

I couldn't find an update folder but I checked the size of AVG, I am running AVG7 with all the updates and it is 17.5mb.

He just said he couldn't find it, and I can't find it on mine either. I'm pretty sure the updates just update the program, but as rjf said, it's only taking up 17.5Mb, so I wouldn't worry too much about it swamping your HDD. For the most part it will overwrite the old ones that are no longer relevant or have been updated

I located a AVG7QT.DAT file in the root folder of my C drive which I deleted.
It was 11.4 mb in size, and it was an update for 6/10/2005. cheers, ~pawprint~ |
