Compaq Software???

I was given two Compaq Deskpro PC's from a business that was going out of business ... They had no software or registration information for either of them ... They gave them to me because they know I often repair older PC and give them to families with young children who can not afford a PC at this time. I have found what most PC geeks would call obsolete or outdated usually works just fine for children 10 years old and younger ... these children do not need the fastest, most powerful PCs to run the learning and gaming software they are using for education and entertainment that is age appropriate for them.

My question is ... Can anyone here point me toward a web site that I can identify & download the drivers for these PCs? They both seam to have software problems causing them to lock up after running only a few minutes. I have written Compaq but so far no response and the old owners had no supporting software to give me with these PCs.

Sorry if this kind of request is inappropriate for this forum I just did not know where else to turn.

Thank You,
Micheal

If the machines have a model number you should be able to get drives from compaq.

www.hp.com has all the drivers you need. You need the exact Deskpro model number.
