installing windows XP to new HDD
i have windows xp pro which i used for my current system. i want to now install xp pro to my new system im building. i want to know if i will have problems with validation and such? from what i read it wont let you use the OS two computers (i dont plan to use the old one anymore).
oh, i would just get windows x64 bit but a lot of people advised me against it, that it wasnt mainstream? |

if you are switching to a new pc and want to bring your xp pro with u, then you have to call microsoft and tell them that you are installing it on a new pc.
the problem with the x64 is that there is not a lot of driver support for it yet, so you might run into problems with some hardware and could be limited to the amount of compatible hardware that have x64 bit drivers. the only way to get the x64 is to turn in your xp pro cd. to me its not worth it right now, i would wait until they release it to the public.
