I just upgraded to Office 2003 Professional and there is, of course, no MS Photo Editor. I suppose it could be hidden, however my understanding is that it is not included with Office 2003 Professional.
I know that it is part of Office 2000, but I want to know if there is a Stand Alone version, and if so, where I can get it. Is it possible to install it from the Office 2000 disks without installing anything else? Th anks

Apparently, M$ Photo Editor was given the heave-ho for Office 2003. It's "replacement" has some features that you can use instead (instructions here, and that website makes it sound like you could install Photo Editor from earlier versions of Office without having to install everything else).
However, if you need to simply manipulate photos, there are lots of free alternatives out there. Irfanview will do simple manipulation tasks, and it is easy to use. If you need something a little more powerful, you can use GIMP. I have both. |

That was the answer I was looking for. I have Office 2000, but the procedure worked the same. I had already fully uninstalled Office 2K so I just reinstalled M$ Photo Editor.
Thanks again.

Now that it is installed, every time I try to print something it prompts me to save the file instead.
I dutifully save the file and try to print again and I am prompted to save the @)$*&@)$& thing again. It will not print from Photo Editor. Any ideas? |
