Norton Utilities? Does it actually find and fix windows problems?

I know norton AV blows goat chunks.... but I have heard a few people say that the Norton Utilities section of SystemWorks 2005 actually finds and fixes many windows problems that would otherwise require a reformat. Can anyone confirm this?

I havn't found anything Norton makes to be worthwhile, and I honestly can't understand why they are as popular and successful as they are. The only thing I enjoyed using was Partition Magic, but they didn't make that, they bought PowerQuest Corporation. There are much better suites out there than can be used, and some of the features can even be found on freeware.
