Voice recognition software

I've had a user ask me about voice recognition software. I'm not too familiar with what's out there and I have never used anything. I see on these forums that Dragon Naturally Speaking works pretty well. Is there anything else out there? Has the technology advanced enough to make this worthwhile?

The latest Dragon works very well. Also, there is voice recogntion and text reader compability on my computers with Win XP and MSOffice on them- not sure which program the Language Bar came with; you can access it on the control panel and in MS Word by clicking the Tools pulls down menu. I've never tried the MS voice program, though, so I don't know how well it works.
