My friend uses FireFox and he says that some websites have problems running Windows media, this still true?

it still wont render "display=inline" or "display=none" correctly...... you figure something so simple and useful they'd get it right. Oh well, IE only for me.

Thanks very much lobos!
![]() ... and baud, what are you basing that on? First off, if you are coding it exactly as you typed ("display=inline"), that would be why it isn't working (CSS doesn't use =, you should have it formatted as "display: inline;"). In addition to that, "display: inline;" works fine in FF.

Hey Stryker, I use display:=inline/none (= since i'm doing it on the fly via JS) a lot for collapsable menus. FF does something strange where the DIV collapses but the content doesnt. Its a very finicky with CSS, a lot of things dont line up right and such.
I love FF for its disable JS that does stupid things like prevent right click tho, but I only use it when I encounter such sites. |

Is it just me, or does everyone else get nowhere near the amount of spyware in Firefox as they do in IE?

I dont get any spyware with IE, but that's just me .. I dont go into sites of questionable content, and if a dialog box presents itself asking whether I want to install stuff, I read the contents before clicking yes.

Does anybody else here experience memory problems when using Firefox for extended periods of time?
When I start Firefox, with a tab or two open, it uses about 59 MB of memory. After using it for a while, opening and closing many tabs, I return to the same tab or two I had open when I started Firefox - only now it uses 100+ MB! |

That's typical with a high tech fast browser - Opera here usually has about 150k in use. It uses ram to do a lot of caching. It's not a problem, it's by design.
