remote backup software

i am looking for a client/server program so that i can set up a server and allow people to back up to it. i would like it if the software could do it automatically, and the server could allocate space for each person. i was looking at NovaStor's NovaNet-WEB, but its fairly expensive.

i would appreciate any info people have. the client needs to be compatible with windows xp, 2k, 9x and ME, but the server can go on pretty much any operating system necessary
