J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1

once again i have to tell u i know nothing about comp. so i wanted to ask if it's ok to uninstall J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1 from my comp. is it going to mess my system up or no. i never remember downloading it. it takes up 117.00 MB and my HD is very low right now at like about 165 MB. is it ok to delete it or do i need it.

JSE Runtime is an update to your java software, for viewing of java based websites surprisingly enough! It can be trusted, and it is always a good idea to do the updates.

However, you certainly wouldnt want to take your HD space any lower than it is now, especially if you're running XP. Your OS requires a certain amount to run correctly. Additional HDs are dirt cheap these days and easy to install.

Yes, but not at the expense of your last few megs of Hard Disc space. Better to have a functioning computer without the latest Java than the other way around!

yeah i guess your right. but what happens if i don't update it. will any problems occur. or maybe i just download once in a while when ever i need to update and then delete it when i'm done?
