Registry mechanic

Does anyone have some experience with this program? It found 400 errors but I am apprehensive about repairing that much. Don't want to kill my computer.
I don't believe in system restore, its overrated. I've read to many threads on how its screwed up things more than restored plus my own experiences.

Thanks for any input.

JD

I use it quite often.

The first time i ran it, it picked up a hell of a lot (not near 400 though).

I thought i'd be brave and 'cleanup' what it suggested and haven't come accross any problems yet.

Talking reg mechanic

Ditto. Works fine for me and finds about 75 a day, mostly the same ad ones I imagine.

I Actually had 650 errors, everything seems fine. I did a restore point just encase, for what its worth.

Isn't it amazing what gets "left behind".

Good job man.

What version are you using?
I use 5.0.0.132 and i've set it to automatically create a restore point before "fixing" the registry. haven't had any problems.
I can't remember where I read this but a comparison between norton's systemworks, registry mechanic, system mechanic, ace utilities... found very little similarity in the errors that each one found.
