Firefox is great but it just doesn't work well with java
Ok, like most users of Firefox I think it's awesome. However, I have constant problems with the browser crashing when using certain sites that use java. For example, this site http://www.tradingday.com/3books.html gives me constant problems. It will work most of the time but then just crash everything in the browser. Also, I've notice that many sites that have java rollovers don't work well, either. I was using a tutorial from the chicago board of exchange site and the mouse rollovers would simply not work. SOme kind of java script error, etc.
I am using the most current version of Firefox, I am using the most curren version of the java runtime. My java console is full of error messages from websites that it didnt work well with. Heres something from there:Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIObserverService.removeObserver]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml :: destroy :: line 569" data: no] and another: Error: top.main has no properties Source File: http://mail.google.com/mail/?view=pa...4c4f7a7c8c4e00 Line: 60 I havent researched it deeply but i have seen on the mozilla support pages various messages from other people who have problem wtih firefox crashing because of java issues. Anyway, I still think firefox is awesome but I wish these java issues could be fixed at some point. If anyone thinks these comments can be forwarded to someone at mozilla that my aid in fixing this problem let me know who I should contact or feel free to do so yourself on my behalf. |
