Remote Control Software?
Thanks to my job's overzealous firewall, I'm looking into remote control software. I've tried both Remote Desktop and VNC but they take some time to set up. Not the most ideal thing when I'm dealing with technologically illiterate relatives who need my help. I've heard of LogMeIn, though, and didn't know if it was better than GoToMyPC? Thanks for your help!

Personally, I'm a little leery of those web-based remote sites. VNC really isn't that complicated to set up. There are a lot of options and tweaks, yes, but the initial setup is fairly simple.

LogMeIn is excellent. I don't know your skill level, but LogMeIn has a ton of features, but is totally idiot-proof. It's the best remote access software I've used. Very fast, everything fits on the screen. You can use it to synch files really easily as well check on work emails, etc. I'd recommend LogMeIn to everyone.

Another alternative is Remote Administrator. If you just want to connect to another computer I recommend this one. Its lightweight and extremely fast (you can even run it without having to install anything)
