Question Excel appearance

I was curious on something.

I have an excel sheet I am working on and I notice while viewing it on my 19" desktop it takes up the whole screen but when looking at it on my 15" laptop screen it only occupies about 3/4 of the screen space.

They are both set at 1024 x 768 res and have the excel viewing % / zoom set at 100.

If anything - with the laptop having the smaller screen I would think that the sheet would not fit on the screen much less be smaller than it is on the larger 19" monitor.

Just curious

neochivers, read the post again. Both computers are at 1024x768.

PardeGT, are the windows both maximized?

I have noticed a bit of a difference with carting my system around. I had a tower I used to bring back and forth to work every so often. At home, it was connect to a 17" CRT. At work, a 19". The desktop icons would get shifted around when I connected to the 19", but when I put it back on the 17", they went back to normal.

Event thought the resolution was 1024x768, I suspected that there was a small difference in size on the seperate monitors.

As I said they are both 1024 x 768 and I checked the windows maximize and they are both set the same.

I have to change the zoom factor to 95% on the 15" laptop to fill up the screen but the 19" is set to 75% and it uses the whole screen.

These look fine. The desktop is running win2k with office 2000 and the laptop is running XP with office XP but like I said everything else matches between the two except for excel files.
