Partition magic
I have a 180gb hard drive at present it has only windows 2000 installed on it I think it is too big to leave as one but did not know how to partition it using the windows 2000 ntfs so just installed the windows now am wondering if I could partition it someway while I still have windows on it.
Does partition magic 8,01 do it and is their anywhere on the internet that I can download it and put it on a CD I live in Canada so presume the cost would be higher |

PM will do what you want very nicely, but it is not free, you must buy it to use it. it is not something you can just download.

Yeah, I bought PM 8.0 a while back and it has got me out of some tricky spots of bother... if you are only likely to use it once it might not be worth it. How much used space have you taken up on it? might be worthwhile backing up your data and starting over and partitioning from scratch...if it is not too much (data that is).
(hey Bailey, I have been away for ages, good to see you.... *who is he, bailey says *)

so the ones you pay for on the internet and can download aren`t any good I planned on paying for it. I would use it a lot so it isn`t going to be a one time thing.

The possible problem with the downloadable versions is they may not be totally legal and on the level, depending on the vendor. I'd buy it in a box at a store or buy a download direct from Symantec.
