I advice you choose DVD Decrypter to rip your DVD into Hard Drive(just one-click)) and use DVD2ONE it makes your dvd 7...gbs becomes 3..gbs.. then u burn it into DVD 4.7GBS...I know a lot of softwares could do the same way such as...DVDXCOPY..
u could find it in internet.

yes, you just hit backup and it will compress it the necessary amount. you can reauthor if you want to take menus out, but i always just make a full backup by hitting the backup button. it rips/compresses and burns if you have nero installed

its a much better way of doing it than dvddecrypter/dvd2one IMO because it uses one program

Nero and DVD Shrink are two programs...

I always re-author before I hit backup because you can increase the video quality a lot. For example, under audio uncheck all the other languagues besides the first AC3 5.1-ch English. That alone should increase percent of original quality by a lot.

I actually use dvd decrypter to copy image file to my disc.

right, i understand that but you merely need it installed, you don't need to do anything with it. dvdsrhink uses the engine to burn

with dvdshrink, its a one step process

if you have nero installed, there should be an option you can hit (in the drop down where you chose save to HD) to burn using Nero Burning ROM. this option will save the video to a folder, which you can delete once it burns, or just use it as a temp folder for all of your video backups

i dont have that option....I have nero installed but it is the OEM Suite, and the burning program is called nero express...will this matter? also, RJ said that I could use DVD Decrypter to burn it.

Edit: I tried to use DVD Decrypter to write it, but it says that the format is not supported, its a Power DVD format apparently.

Hmm you should be able to burn with dvd decrypter...I think it might be a problem with dvd shrink in the re-authoring mode. I just read some info about other people that have had errors when trying to copy to disc.

I would suggest erasing files made with dvd shrink and then start over. Also here is a helpful graphic tutorial

Also Craig I see where you are coming from with nero working directly under dvd shrink. I just like to use open-source software as much as I can

When you click on "Backup", select as target "ISO Image and burn with DVD Decrypter". DVD Shrink will automatically invoke DVD Decrypter after the shrinking process is done.

Here are my settings for DVD Shrink. You get this box right after clicking on "Backup".
