I don't beleive so...I have boot screens on my desktop and laptop that don't affect my boot time at all. But I tweaked my system to install them, and I don't know of any other way to do it.
I use this sitehttp://www.themexp.org to find the image or "skin" and then I use this site http://www.tweakxp.com for any help I need. If you want to know how I did it let me know. Otherwise I would like to know if you are using a program to do these changes to your system because I basically hacked mine and didn't pay for anything. |

It's just as if Windows is loading the default boot screen so I see no reason as to why it should take any longer.
