Defrag Interrupted

Hi, guys,

I wonder if you could help me out here, I´ve tried to defrag my C: drive and it keeps finishing the cycle and leaving the disk fragmented.
Like this:

I get a "was unable to defrag some volumes".
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

r u defragging while programs are running?
do you have some sparse files (empty but reserved) like for emule?

the defragger that comes with windows is not very good anyway. try perfectdisk (if you like it, buy it) and see how that works for you.

Try defragging from Safe Mode.

You should do a disk cleanup & scandisk before defragging.

I only experienced that problem with Windows 98. Try to do what Cricket said and run it in Safe mode.

Thanks a lot for your repplies, guys.
I closed all routines running in the background and STILL had the same problem.
Tried Lavasoft´s Adaware to look for any programs that might have been "misbehaving" and still the same problem.
I installed a trial version of some program called Diskeeper someone recommended me a few moments ago and is now working, I have a defragged C drive.
