write iso to cd

is it possible to write a dvd-size iso to a cd? like compression or make a 2-part cd set? *like how floppies use to be?* i don't have a dvd-/+ r/rw drive *too lazy to buy one and paying for school anyways* so was wondering if it is possible to do that instead and just use cd's

Not easily i would imagine.

I suppose you could 'split' the file into cd-size pieces and then burn those.

I used to use a program called 'winsplit' so you'd need to use that to break it up and use the same program to 'join' the pieces together the other end.

But as for getting a dvd size file onto a cd in one chunk is highly unlikely.

Edit: Here's a list of 'splitting' & 'merging' tools. clicky clicky

Hope that helped.
