outlook express question
Hello people , just got off the phone with a friend and he explained something strange going on in outlook.........He opens outlook, say he has 5 new emails. Say he reads two and doesn't read the other three. Close's window's etc. Shuts down computer . The next day he turns computer on goes to outlook zip......all the emails from the day before are gone. Yet he receives the email for that day . Could thiss be the ISP????
![]() I checked in outlook for anything in options that might be causing the situation but didn't see anything .By the way he is running Win 2K

"all the emails from the day before are gone. Yet he receives the email for that day"
Does he then lose the new mail for "that day?" How large is the inbox.dbf file? Might consider moveing all existing inbox mail to another folder and zapping the current inbox.dbf in case it's corrupted. Does he have more than one user profile? Is he using different identities in OE? Have you checked for Message Rules that might have been created to move mail around?
