iTunes Update/Bonjour Service Problems

"Error 1920.Service Bonjour Service(Bonjour Service)failed to start.Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
"Error 1921. " " " ( " " )could not be stopped.Verify that etc..."
These messages appear when I run the iTunes update.I would just trash it and run the last version, but it's gone.Has anyone else had this problem?I assume that the privileges mentioned pertain to the user account, but I am always logged in as owner, although this is not the only time I've been told to be sure I was logged in as administrator when I already was.

I just had an interesting morning installing version 5. I used this from Apple Discussions : http://discussions.info.apple.com/we...3459@.68b90c60

edit: about mapi32.dll ; this is a hidden file and you will have to check the unhide files box in windows explorer in order to see it. As far as I can tell if you have an up to date XP install it's there.

I don't know why this isn't in the link but it should be and it's a continuation of his instructions : " Oh, almost forgot. For those of you that have been having problems after you tried to install v5.0 before you start all that stuff above you HAVE to remove ALL the old iTunes crap off your computer. What I did was went into add/remove files and removed Quicktime and iTunes and Bonjour if it was there. Then I went into the "My Computer" folder, and "Program Files" and manually deleted all the iTunes, Bonjour, and Quicktime fodlers. Then I ran "Windows Install Clean Up" to get rid of the rest of the iTunes, Bonjour, and Quicktime garbage. There are some nice threads on here on how to remove this stuff from your system if I didn't cover it all, which is possible. Remember to do this before you start the steps above.

Also, in step 2.) if those files are not started then click on "start" to make them work. "

You can get the windows installer clean up from here : http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290301
or you can use your favorite registry cleaner.
