Help with Outlook
Every time I open Outlook it fails to receive email. I found out that it is changing my incoming mail server to localhost and adding what was under incoming mail server to user name. Example(the correct way):
Incoming mail server: Onlinemac.com User Name: 12345 (The wrong way that it is every time I open it) Incoming mail server: localhost User Name: 12345/Onlinemac.com My goal is to find out why it keeps changing and get it fixed. Oh, by the way, It happens on 2 of the 8 computers on our home network. Both XP PCs. Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Just an idea but did you use the email account wizard to set up the accounts. You have to tell it to look on the internet for the server. I dont know why it keeps reverting to localhost but perhaps the wizard will correct the problem it worked for me.

That was some improvement it did not change when I closed and opened Outlook while the computer was on, but when I turned it off, it went back to "localhost".
Thanks for the attempt. |
