Want to open a MS Word document in read only mode from Run Dialog
Hi all,
How can I open a MS Word Document from Run Dialog or from command prompt in Read only mode? Is it possible? Please let me know. Thanks, CS. |

Just protect the document after creating/editing. (Check help for exact steps). Either that or convert to pdf and open with adobe or an alternate non-adobe viewer.

Hey
As much as i know there is now way that you can do that from command line. You can set the file as read only from from Word it self... _________ Do you know the meaning of 888 ? I don't know of any way to do that because it is not a exe type file, if it was saves as a txt file you could open it with any type of word processor,or pdf format with adobe reader.
just out of plane couristy why would you want to do that anyway? |
