Can anyone say if SP2 is safe and bug free now. I have avoided doing the updates for that reason. Any help would be appreciated!

It's a good idea to install SP2 if you haven't already done so. I have installed SP2 on countless machines and only had one problem on a machine that was infested with spyware. Make sure your system is clear of spyware before you install, and you should be fine.
Of course, if you use any atypical software, you should check with the makers to see if there is an issue with SP2. |
