software problems
alright my dad was using the trial version of adobe illustator and he used up the 30 day period, he has a legit serial key now and everything but it wont let him activate it now sence the trial version is up... what should we do to fix this problem?

Do you mean he bought it afterward retail with install cds?

no my friend bought it but his buisness went bankrupt and he had accuple of unused cd keys left so he gave one to my dad and he just told him to do it with the trial version and it should be alright

My guess is the trial version doesnt include all the files the retail version does, therefore you would obviously need a retail version to use a cd key with.

I dont see why... we did it through photoshop cs2 and everything worked... its just he didnt use up the whole trial version by the time we got the cd key... is there a way to get it to the activation screen back up or restart the 30 day trial or something... I know i would have to do it through the registery but I dont know what to change in it...
