Recommend a free video editor

I have a few episodes of a TV programme, and want to cut certain parts out of them. I tried Windows Movie Maker, but even if I set it to save as best quality for my computer it reduces the quality by a lot. Are there any better alternatives?

try VirtualDub, it's listed in the "Sticky"(free software) in this forum. VirtualDub supports most media formats except Micosoft ones, 'cause MS threatened VD's author with law sues...so , no .asf or .wmv convert these to some other format then import into VD.

Send a message via ICQ to RJ
Cuttermaran for MPEG files. If you pair it with TMPGEnc or CuttyEnc, you can even cut framewise.
