Kodak Software

Can anyone send me the program used for Kodak digital cameras (DX7400) and its printer dock (6000)? I try to download off the Kodak site but after it downloads it won't run! Please help! I can't find the disc so I gotta find it online!

i suggest you re-download them all, here are the links i'd use:
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/servi...ml?pq-path=979
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/servi...l?pq-path=2319 and
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/servi...l?pq-path=4509

if they still don't run; we'll have to try and find out why

No luck I download the .exe files, and when I double click on them the WinZip self extractor comes up and it shows it extracting "setup.exe" very quickly and then that's it... nothing after that !!

I don't know where it extracts the setup.exe file to... I don't understand why WINZIP is trying to open a .exe file anyway...

The program is a winzip self-extracter. Does it not ask for a location to unzip to? Have you looked in C:\Documents and settings\(your username)\Local settings(oddly hidden!?)\Temp? It may be residing there.

ok, get WinZip and install it

then double click one of the downloaded Kodak files, and click "RUN WINZIP". then once in WinZip, extract the file(s) using the extract button.

Then browse to the folder to which you extracted the files, and run setup.exe (or whatever its called)

I have WinRAR installed... should I extract with that? It doesn't even ask me where to extract to. Here is the weird thing, on the site it says the file is 24MB... the .exe file is only around 500KB's...

Would it be too much trouble if someone can download the file at http://www.kodak.com/global/en/servi...l?pq-path=2319 and extract its contents, then upload the content to me (via www.yousendit.com or something like that)?

Have you tried downloading it again? Sounds like a stopped (and therefore corrupt) download...

I just tried it from the site moistmule gave and everything worked fine. There's got to be a conflict going on someplace.

Try this. Delete all the copies you already downloaded and download it again. Disconnect from the internet, disable antivirus, firewall, anything running in the system tray, close all open applications, and try again. Something else that is running could be interfering with the installation. Macafee does that to me on occasion. If it doesn't work just reboot and reconnect to the internet, and nothing lost but some time.
